I grew up in Logan, UT, surrounded by the incredible beauty of the mountains, an environment that sparked my curiosity and commitment to creative exploration. Now living in Madison, WI, I spend my time exploring the city’s parks with my dog and embracing a creative lifestyle.
I’ve had the privilege of traveling and working in diverse environments. I’ve helped reconstruct a historic log cabin in Wisconsin, taught photography workshops in India, and volunteered on organic farms in Bulgaria. These experiences have shaped my understanding of art and education as inherently collaborative and adaptive practices. I celebrate neurodiversity and always strive to create inclusive spaces that empower all learners to connect their unique experiences with creative expression.
I hold an MFA from Duke University and a BA in Film and Television from Columbia College Chicago. My teaching spans media arts labs, continuing education programs, and interdisciplinary courses, with a focus on accessibility and interdisciplinary learning. I'm particularly dedicated to serving neurodiverse and underserved learners through dynamic, student-centered approaches.
In my creative practice, I design experiences that explore the intersections of expanded media, performance, and participatory art. Outside of teaching and creating, I find inspiration in nature, music, films, and outdoor activities like gardening and kayaking, constantly weaving these influences into my work as both an artist and educator.
